Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

  • Has knowledge of all relevant UK legislation including Health & Safety.
  • Has experience of working in a restaurant kitchen environment.
  • Has knowledge of Red. Lounge.
  • Experience of coaching less experienced chefs.
  • Good knowledge of English language.

The Person:

  • At least 1 year experience in a busy restaurant kitchen as a Head Chef
  • Own transport
  • Food hygiene certificate or ability to obtain on confirmation of employment.

Position:  Assistant Manager
Location: Drayton
Job type: Part Time (30 Hours)

The Role:

Red. Lounge is currently seeking an ambitious, energetic individual to support the Business Manager.

Assistant Manager will be the 'face' of Red. Lounge, Drayton alongside the Restaurant Manager, working to deliver an excellent customer experience by leading and inspiring the growing team, and creating great communication between Front of House and Kitchen. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive deliveries and manage weekly ordering and invoices
  • Uphold all cleanliness standards
  • Assist with requirements throughout the week for the day to day running of the business
  • Create a hard-working, proud, happy culture through training of new and existing staff
  • Communicate with kitchen on all food-related issues
  • Planning and coordinating menus
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines
  • Supporting the manager in achieving weekly targets
  • To protect and positively promote the reputation of Red. Lounge through building strong and lasting relationships in the local area, always receptive to the varied needs of your customers and creating an identity for the restaurant in its “neighbourhood”

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year hospitality experience
  • Understanding and awareness of alcohol license regulations and ideally a personal alcohol license
  • Customer service and interaction
  • Ambitious and energetic
  • Own transport

Position:  Waiting Staff
Location: Drayton, Portsmouth
Job type: Part Time, Permanent
